Description
IES Utilities delivers specialist protective coating works at the St Fergus Gas Terminal, a critical facility processing a significant proportion of the UK’s gas supply. Operating in a high-hazard, COMAH-regulated environment, the project required a meticulous and safety-led approach to ensure both asset integrity and workforce protection. The 25-strong specialist team carried out abrasive blasting and advanced coating applications to protect pipework and structures from corrosion. All works are conducted within sealed scaffolded habitats, ensuring environmental compliance while maintaining safe working conditions. Using industry-leading equipment and techniques, combined with rigorous safety controls and highly trained personnel, IES Utilities demonstrated its capability to deliver complex infrastructure protection projects in live, high-pressure environments.
